USAA is currently seeking a talented Margin Analyst for our San Antonio, TX location.
As a Margin Analyst for USAA, you will be responsible for the monitoring of margin and cash trading accounts to protect the firm from risk exposure and ensure compliance with our regulatory agencies and the firm credit policy. You will analyze and reconcile margin and cash trading accounts, and enforce trading restrictions in accordance with Reg T and FINRA. You will enforce our firm credit policy by analyzing accounts and reports. You will monitor accounts for potential fraud. This is the first analyst position in the Investment Operations career path.
Job duties:
- Review and analyze margin and cash accounts. - Issue and resolve margin calls. - Answer customer questions concerning margin calculations, requirements and reconciling accounts. - Monitoring of day-trading accounts. - Reviewing and calculating margin requirements for margin option trading. - Monitoring of margin accounts to ensure adherence to our margin policy.
Qualified candidates need to possess:
- Three-plus years' margin experience and/or brokerage operations experience. - Associate's degree or equivalent work experience. - Strong knowledge of spreadsheets, data retrieval, and word processing software. - Strong working knowledge of Reg T and FINRA margin and cash trading regulations. - Knowledge and ability to calculate margin requirements for all security types. - Knowledge of working with day-trading accounts and option trading.
Preferred experience includes:
- College degree. - NASD Series 7 or 63 licenses preferred. - Higher level of qualifications may warrant higher level of position.
